MSP pricing and finance Excel templates

For MSP owners and operations managers: organize pricing, service cost, recurring revenue, and customer margin assumptions. Check each workbook’s inputs and scope before using it in a commercial decision.

A price per user is not a cost per device

Record the pricing unit, billing period, currency, included support, and excluded work before comparing contracts. A pricing model tests a proposal; a margin review reconciles revenue with the costs actually included; a cash forecast follows timing. Do not treat these as interchangeable. Separate recurring fees from onboarding charges and project revenue. Identify whether labor figures represent loaded cost, billable rates, or estimates, and document how shared tooling costs are allocated. Check the treatment of discounts and taxes rather than assuming a file implements your accounting policy.

Can the results replace accounting or financial advice?

No. Reconcile inputs to your source records and validate a known case after editing formulas. A workbook does not determine tax treatment, revenue recognition, or the commercial terms appropriate to a particular customer.
